Hot Weather Safety Tips for Older Adults
May 15, 2017Abbington Assisted Living’s Back School Special!
September 8, 2017It’s officially August, and as the summer starts to come to a close, the kids are heading back to school. We know your lives may become a little busier, but your loved ones at Abbington Assisted Living are still excited to see you any chance they get. Whether it’s taking a stroll outside or staying indoors to play a card game, our residents truly value family time.
While your schedule fills up, we want you to know that we are taking care of your loved one. Throughout the month on August, there are a variety of activities your loved one can be a part of. We host different games of BINGO, show movies, take field trips, etc. Our activities are well suited to the hobbies and interests of our residents as well; we take time to play various card games, and every Sunday we show a TV church service for everyone who wants to go to church but can’t.
We also want you to know that we are doing our best to get our residents active. Every couple of days, we have different exercise activities, such as morning walks, that our residents enjoy. Our morning walks start at 9:30AM; we take a nice stroll outside for about a half an hour to help energize and keep the residents happy and healthy.
At Abbington Assisted Living, we love to celebrate the little things. Whether it’s baking cookies on National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day or learning about the history of national parks on National Park Service Founders Day, we keep your loved ones engaged and help them to enjoy every day.
Overall, we know that it can be hard sometimes to come visit your loved one at Abbington. Schedules fill up and time seems to slip away, but remember that we care for all of our residents and truly strive to provide them with a loving home.
