Holiday Gift Giving
As you look forward to the holidays and are thinking about the perfect gift for your loved one in assisted living, we have some suggestions. Nothing beats a homemade or created gift that your loved one can enjoy, not just now, but throughout the year.
One idea is a calendar. There are even large print calendars for easier viewing. And calendars come in a variety of styles and price ranges. You can highlight important dates before you present it. You can even make a calendar that features photos of the family.
Photo albums make great gifts, as well, for our residents. Again, there is a wide range of prices and styles so you can use your creativity to put one together.
And if you’re feeling like baking, a gift basket filled with food items, reminiscent of home, is always a hit.? It is the homemade or crafted touch that means so much. We treat our residents like family, but we see them every day. Your loved one in assisted living spends quite a bit of time away from the family, and any touch that brings you closer together is cherished. Think about what you would want if the tables were turned: you would want something that can bring you closer together for more than just one day. That is the perfect gift for our residents at Abbington Assisted Living.
We treat our residents like family because we see them every day. But, it’s true that they miss home, and any gift that makes them feel the warmth of family and friends is always a hit.
