August 1, 2015If you’re searching for the finest Coshocton assisted living, you need to consider Abbington’s Windsorwood Place Assisted Living. It’s so much more than just a place to spend retirement. We aim to ensure life is just as fulfilling now as it ever was. Limited mobility doesn’t have to limit one’s growth, excitement, or fun. Each day here is filled with new activities focused on improving all different facets of one’s self. We feel it’s important to keep things fresh and challenging. Retirement isn’t the time to become stagnant. Fun and learning should always be of paramount importance if one is to enjoy life to the fullest. Every month we’ll update you on some of the highlights. Here’s what we did in May.
At Windsorwood Place, our beautiful Coshocton assisted living center enjoyed the surprisingly warm weather. It felt like summer had come early this year. After a harsh winter, no one seemed bothered. We kicked off the month with a music event. On a warm Friday afternoon residents enjoyed the musical styling of John Lafollette. Then Saturday, we took it easy with a movie and popcorn. A pleasant first weekend concluded with Church service. We always make sure residents who want to worship have the opportunities to, not just on Sundays, but throughout the week with organized Bible studies as well. We emphasize continued growth as a key to happiness. Spiritual growth may be most important of all.
Monday morning it was time to get back to some physical activity with a 10 am Range of Motion Exercise. Physical development should never stop either. The more you exercise the more positive and happy you feel. Health is very important to us at Windsorwood Place. That’s why we make sure fitness isn’t neglected. But the hard work has to be kept within reason. Later in the day we all enjoyed the Dogwood Festival complete with lunch and music. The beautiful flowers, sunny weather, and delicious food lifted spirits to great heights. The festival continued through the next two days. We couldn’t have had more fun at Abbington’s Coshocton assisted living known as Windsorwood Place.
While we certainly mix up the activities and try to keep things fresh, there are some activities that are so popular among the residents that we try and work them into our weekly routine. One of those reoccurring activities is the Beauty Shop, open for business every Thursday. Women love to look their best; it’s fun and improves self-esteem. Pamper yourself with a new hairdo or a manicure!
Aside from all the music, festivities, Bible study, exercise, movies, bingo and all that fun stuff, we’re sure to make time for errands as well. Buehlers Shopping trips are something we work in every Thursday. We also make it easy for residents get the weekly medicine and groceries they need.
So, if you need high quality Coshocton assisted living facilities then you have to check out Windsorwood Place. Look for next month’s blog to find out what we were up to in June.
