Abbington is a full-service assisted living community with a monthly rate that is often more affordable than our competition. Abbington’s all-inclusive pricing is based on the resident’s room size and service tier (one of three tiers). Other assisted living communities may have “ala carte” pricing and your monthly rate can escalate quickly as you use more services.

We are also an Ohio Medicaid Waiver Provider. If you spend down your funds, you do not need to worry about moving out of Abbington – you can transition to the Medicaid Waiver program if you quality for the service requirements).
How are we able to offer competitive rates and outstanding personal service? Abbington is privately held and locally owned, with its home office in Dublin, Ohio. We are not a large, publicly traded company seeking to maximize shareholder wealth or meet quarterly earnings numbers. Abbington has long-term financing and lower overhead. We invest in direct care and not layers of middle management. Abbington provides outstanding, personalized care at affordable rates.
Important Comparison Tips – When shopping for assisted living, you may be quoted a monthly rate that is lower than our rate; however, often the rate quoted is only the room rental rate and does not include services. It is important to ask the costs for the following:
- Three meals per day;
- Personal care services (such as bathing, dressing, transfer assistance, etc.);
- Nursing services;
- Medication administration;
- Wellness services;
- Transportation;
- Laundry service;
- Housekeeping service;
- Cable television;
- Phone service; and
- Wifi service.
If you don’t ask about these costs upfront, you may be surprised when you get your monthly bill.
At Abbington, the aforementioned services are included in the monthly, all-inclusive rate – no surprises. The only additional costs at Abbington are nominal fees for visitor meals, monthly pet fees (for approved, small pets), and some transportation costs (ask about this at the community, as it may vary by locale).
