Abbington Assisted Living’s Back School Special!
September 8, 2017Residents are Grateful for an Active Assisted Living Community in Columbus
November 20, 2017October begins the first full month of fall. It is filled with football, leaves changing, campfires, colder weather, shorter days, holidays, and of course pumpkin everything. In this busy and festive season, Abbington Assisted Living encourages you to take a minute to really appreciate the fall with it’s crisp, chill air and changing colors of the leaves. Whether it is stepping outside to enjoy a walk around the neighborhood for some exercise or just sitting outside with a hot cup of apple cider, we hope you embrace the beauty of fall. However, don’t forget as the nature around us is changing, so is the weather. It’s important to pull out those cozy fall sweaters and layer during this season to keep comfortable and healthy.
Fall brings some of the best holidays and October brings us Halloween. Abbington Assisted Living Columbus is excited to invite all residents, staff, and volunteers to invite your children to join us for Trick or Treating on Saturday October 28th from 2pm – 4pm. So it is time to grab your favorite candies and goodies. All those participating will receive a pumpkin for their door. The kids will be told to follow the pumpkins, but don’t hold back on bringing out your own personal fun and spooky decorations. Join us on October 28th and see what superheros, monsters, princesses and other characters this year will bring to Abbington Assisted Living. Refreshments of apple cider and donuts will be served in the activity room. Additionally, Abbington Assisted Living encourages all staff and residents to dress up and join in the Halloween fun on Monday October 31st.
Halloween is not the only fun activity brought to us by the fall season. It is time for football! Go BUCKS! OH – IO. We have many games coming up this season but most importantly the famous rivalry game of Ohio State vs. University of Michigan. Football watching is being organized by our Resident Services Coordinator, Heather, for the Ohio State vs. Michigan Game. The game is being televised on November 25th at noon.
